Lafayette and North Hardin were both second in their class if my sources are correct. Williams town was second to Bourbon in Class A. What a great showing for KY!

Bourbon gets one last run to end the season.

Lafayette being second place in 3A isn't too terribly bad.
As well as North Hardin getting second in 2A.
And Williamstown getting second in 1A.

Wow-no PCEP in finals. But I don't know who you would take out to put them in. A strong field at BOA this year.

PCEP was awesome. I'm shocked. coolest "functional" props i've seen in a long time and a great show performed very well.

There isn't a worst, when you're a GN finalist.

When was the last time your band made it??

omfg... here we go yet again, another person taking something i said to another level and thinking i meant something else, I never once said that it wasnt an honor, but there is always a best and worst at every show. KMEA SMBC there was a best and worst, That is people's opinion, 'my' band never went, and probably wouldn't do to well there, but also my band doesn't exist anymore. thanks.

IN MY OPINION avon was the best band, so if there is a best, there has to be an opposite end of the scale. Centerville, IN MY OPINION, and apparently in the judges as well, was the worst. So, basically, first and last. What i said was true. They were all 'good' but Avon was better.

Take it as wish, but If you want to start a fight about it, then go ahead as well, everyone else on this board has fought with me, you might as well too. God forbid i give my opinion.

The word "worst" has been banned on this board. You are now required to say "perfection-challenged" or "least best...but still awesome."

When you have two very respected staff members have people like Matt Harloff (hornline staff and Caption Head at Carolina Crown) and Jeff Queen (Percussion caption head at Colts) good things tend to happen. Avon's show had to be one the best I've ever seen. Heck to make the top 12 at BOA GN you have to be really good.
Some say that he has no understanding of clouds, and that his ear wax tastes like Turkish delight... all we know is, he's called the Stig.

Each and every band was fantastic tonight. Sitting on the 50 yard line 15 rows up was absolutely amazing. Most humble band boosters belongs to Plymouth Canton. In the food court, I happened to come across some PCEP parents / grand parents / and future performers. They were all greatful for my words of encouragement and at the expression of shock that they did not make finals. HOWEVER, they were all so gracious, thanked me for their comments and ensured they would be passed along to the band director. This was truly one of PCEP's most creative shows since 1999 and 1995. I continued to express my appreciation for their booster program as well as the young people. As the conversation ended, NOT ONE single negative thing was said from their mouths about PCEP not making finals. Sure, they were dissappointed, but they did not once complain or berate the judging. This booster program can certainly teach many others how to react and behave as well as accept defeat in a positive manner.

One another note, this has been Kentucky's most represented year in history I believe at Grand Nationals. Capturing a Class Champion (Bourbon County, Class A) and three runners up (Williamstown, Class A; North Hardin, Class AA; and Lafayette, Class AAA). What other state can say they had great representation in the majority of the classes (besides Indiana and Texas..haha).

To the Lafayette Pride of the Bluegrass...first of all UNBELIEVABLE performance. It was fantastic. Secondly, what a great way to show support for the fellow competing schools from Kentucky. Lafayette gave a standing ovation to Bourbon County, Williamstown, and North Hardin.

Great year for Kentucky marching band!!! Hopefully some of these if not all will return to Grand Nationals and give the same representation.

Thank you guys for a great season!!!!
